Hi there. Can you please share your experience when it comes to teaching abroad. I have a friend she applied for a job as a teacher in Vietnam.
Right now, she is a permanent teacher in a public school here. May I ask if what to prepare when it comes to traveling going to Vietnam?
There are tons of recruiters online for teaching jobs/volunteer works in Vietnam. If you will teach/volunteer there, make sure that the school will help you in securing a visa. :) Filipinos can only stay in Vietnam for 21days (visa free) if you'll stay longer than that, you'll need a visa. Vietnam is gorgeous 😍 People, food s, sig htseeing spots... just wow 😇😇😇 Food is cheap. Their milo is 4 pesos lang Hahhahaha here in the Philippines its 7-8pesos hahaha
to avoid being off loaded, make sure the docus are complete...Be extra in preparing...hotel/home address in vietnam, name and contact of school, contract (if any) Better safe than sorry :)
When traveling as a tourist make sure you have enough proof of your stay. If you are intending to stay for more than a week, there's a huge chance you'll be questionned, worse--- denied by the immigration officers who are already made aware of ESL teachers going to Vietnam as a tourist but would eventually look for a job. Better have a contact who could help you during your stay or on your application. Going without proper docs would bea problem.
