SoftwareArchitect.ca is an online educational services company, that specializes in video based training for Microsoft Azure cloud computing certification. We are looking for a virtual assistant to provide QA services for our online video products while working remotely.

As a virtual assistant, you will perform various QA tasks:

  • watching each of our video training products, one at a time (4 of them, about 50 hours total),
  • take study notes on the content of each video to become a student study guide, compare what you see on the video with the live website to ensure that the UI of the software being taught hasn’t changed,
  • take note of recordings that have poor technical audio or video quality (if any),
  • take note of recordings that are too long and could be broken up (if any),
  • find gaps in the content that are not covered adequately to learn the subject (if any),
  • file bug reports of things that need to be re-recorded or fixed,
  • make suggestions for improvement that you observe,
  • monitor student feedback for their suggestions,
  • verify student bug reports,
  • prioritize bugs according to severity,
  • keep a running list of things to be fixed ordered by priority,
  • daily updates to me by email.

Training will be provided. All software and accounts provided. But you must not be afraid of learning Microsoft Azure cloud computing.

You should be well organized, willing to learn, and able to deliver high quality work with minimal supervision.

SoftwareArchitect.ca is looking to find the right virtual assistant for a 3-month contract to start. We are seeking someone who is willing to learn and grow with our company. You do not have to be an information technology expert or familiar with cloud computing in order to succeed in this position, but you will be placed into our online training program to learn. This position does not require any outbound sales.

This is a results-oriented role so we won’t be monitoring hours but work output. But we do expect you to make progress every day (except holidays). Work on your own time, from home. Decent internet access is required for watching a lot of video, and access to a computer. Paid every two weeks. Quote your rate, and past experience with technology, training, QA and Azure, when applying.

Let me know if you have any questions. Email us to apply.
