Australia-based Tech Startup Looking to hire Audio Transcription Quality Auditor

We are looking for AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION QUALITY AUDITOR (Freelance contract)

COMPANY OVERVIEW: We are an Australia-based tech startup. We specialize in AI technology and help businesses make the most of their processes through an efficient implementation of AI tech. We are currently scaling a business in digital marketing services with AI software/technology still in the heart of it. We need a brilliant media buyer who can help us test and experiment fast. Our goal is to scale the business and through efficient and profitable ad campaigns, take a new tech product off the ground.

REQUIREMENTS: Must pass three screening test A. Basic Test-To assesses for basic transcription skills(especially listening) B. Inaudible Test-you will transcribe snippets of inaudible words / phrases C. Final QA Test - you will review an edited transcription and correct all the Highly proficient in English writing.

Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply as they can pass the three tests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Study and master the Style Guide Review the work of Editors to make sure all rules in the Style Guide are followed. Help decipher words or phrases that are tagged as inaudible by the Editor Occasionally help edit transcripts whenever needed. Review the list of keywords, entity names, trends and themes within a transcript Flag and address all compliance and critical audit issues found in all transcripts. Provide feedback and write notes on the accuracy and overall quality of transcriptions for the Editors to apply and improve on. Join, participate and communicate on designated online platforms including, but not limited to, Slack, Monday.com, Notion, Google Docs etc. Overall, be responsible for making sure and thinking ways to make sure that the team's overall QA Audit score is not below the minimum quality standard. Be available for weekly video or phone meetings as required by the Company or its Representative and ensure that all asynchronous communication is responded to or acknowledged within 12 hours from its receipt. Other related duties may be assigned from time to time.

WORKLOAD: QA Review 5 Audio Hours of edited transcripts every day (could be more than 5 files as some files are 30 minutes long only)

COMPENSATION: This can be part-time or full-time Basic rate: 28k to 30k basic monthly + bonuses

WORK DAYS: We work Mondays to Fridays only. Weekend work not required and only very occasional.

WORK HOURS: Transcription files get done editing by 2PM or 6PM PH time, and so QA's must be able to start 3PM or 7PM onwards PH time for QA reviewing edited files.

WHAT KINDS OF AUDIO DO YOU EDIT? The audio recordings are interviews/conversations.
