DropX is a drop shipping service that is focused on providing out of the box dropshipping and fulfillment services to online sellers and aspiring entrepreneurs in the Philippines. We are looking to expand our team in other to be more efficient.

Responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, like Java, Ruby on Rails or .NET programming languages (e.g. C++ or JScript.NET.) Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.

What you'll do:

• Develop and maintain DropX dropshipping and fulfillment system.
• Create, optimize and test existing in-house solutions.
• Create or optimize back-end solutions for easy 3rd party integration.
• Work with the existing team to manage and deploy plugins and apps for CMS such as Shopify, WooCommerce.
• Continuously updating systems and stay in touch with the current trends in PH TechCommerce.
• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Investigates problem areas.
• Follows the software development lifecycle.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

Requirements:

• A degree in CS / IT ( Not required but a bonus ).
• Experienced in Laravel, React, Shopify API.
• Experience with API integrations especially in logistics and payment processing areas.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS and willing to learn how to use GCP.
• Agile & DevOps experience is highly welcomed.
• Willing to work from home and communicate regularly with the team.
• Experience with Shopify app development.
• Experience with WordPress plugin development ( BONUS ).
• Stable Internet connection.
• Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
• Experience designing interactive applications.
• Ability to develop software in Java, Ruby on Rails, C++ or other programming languages.
• Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Proficiency in software engineering tools.
• Ability to document requirements and specifications.
