Job Roles: MANAGING EDITOR (1) Project Rate: Php 20,000 per publication Employment Type: Full-time

The Managing Editor is able to manage a team and project deliverables on time. The ideal candidate is a deadline-oriented project manager and analytical thinker. The Managing Editor will support the Publisher in the timely implementation of all the activities related to content production. He/She is a clear and direct communicator who thrives on solving problems creatively as part of a lean team. The Managing Editor will be an individual contributor, reporting directly to the Publisher.

Responsibilities: Monitor the timeliness of the project (milestones, team members, project calendar, and issues) and communications and streamline editorial workflow Manage a group of writers and oversee capacity planning Manage deliverables on time and ensure excellence and accuracy in quality of work Supervise content creation process from writing, editing, approvals and publishing Coordinate and consult with the Publisher to determine requirements and overall direction Collaborate closely with colleagues through creativity, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills

Qualifications and Skills: Strong research and correspondence skills Strong experience in project management Technological aptitude to manage spreadsheets, documents, and collaborative online forums Ability to coordinate with a distributed team

RESEARCH ASSISTANT (1) Project Rate: Php 10,000

The Research Assistant ensures the veracity of the information on the written output. He/She ensures that content is accurate, properly researched, and referenced. The ideal candidate is proactive, meticulous, instinctive, and concise. He/She is a clear and direct communicator and is enthusiastic to be part of a lean team. The candidate will be an individual contributor, reporting directly to the Editor.

Responsibilities: Proofread and clean transcript for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, consistency, and voice Index materials and transcribe interviews conducted by the writers Fact-check and research details without major alterations to the transcript itself Confirm historical information and accuracy of data found in the written output Confirm identities, including the names, addresses, and identities, ascertaining the validity of the quoted information as verbatim or implied information that's being attributed to them Deliver complete and excellent work on time following the agreed outline and format Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills: Experienced in writing as a freelancer is a plus Strong research and correspondence skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and turnover stories within a short amount of time Technological aptitude to manage documents, transcription tools, and collaborative online forums Ability to coordinate with a distributed team

PUBLISHING INTERN (1) Project Rate: Php 4,000

We are looking for creative and motivated individuals with a clear interest in publishing. The intern will assist our editorial team for approximately 20 hours/week with research, and organizing the materials for current titles, including the following tasks: Conduct research to obtain factual information and authentic detail Compilation and indexing of research materials Fact-checking stories Proofreading both hard and electronic files and basic copyediting Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills: Firm grasp of grammar and spelling Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and turnover stories within a short amount of time Technological aptitude to manage documents, transcription tools, and collaborative online forums Ability to work efficiently and independently with a distributed team Experienced in writing as a freelancer is a plus
