Hi All,

Quick question regarding upgrading laptop HDD to SSD. I have medyo luma na, Acer V3 571G, specs i5/1tb HDD/16gb Ram/Nvidia 710.

Advisable pa ba iupgrade it to SSD? Mainly use it for Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere& AE.

Gusto ko sana iupgrade kasi medyo mabagal na sya mag boot kahit nag reformat na and pag medyo malaki na yung file ng projects na I'm working on medyo laggy na yung mga software lalo na Photoshop and Premiere.

So again, advisable pa ba sya iupgrade to SSD, if so, anong brand and storage capacity would you suggest?

Thanks!

yes, tpos gmitin mo n lng storage ung hdd.

@Glenn Yes, planning to use the old hdd as an external storage kasi walang extra slot yung laptop.

I'm assuming lahat ng software sa ssd na din i-install para mabilis? Gaano kaya kalaki ssd na ipapalit ko and which brand? 🤔

Magbukas ka file explorer, right click mo ung hdd mo then choose properties para makita mo ilang GB ang used. That would at least give you an idea ano smallest size na pede mo kunin. Remember lang po, ang ssd is recommended not to be filled up ng 100%. Make sure may at least 20-30% ng total capacity nya ang free pa rin. Nakakabagal at nakaka liit ng lifespan ng ssd pag masyadong filled up sya.

Check first if your laptop has an M.2 slot for the SSD or 2.5" in size. If you don't have an idea just bring your laptop to the computer shop/store for them to check...

@Vicente Outdated laptop so no M2 slot. Only option is to use hdd slot and replace with ssd then have an external hdd nalang. I think yun yung best bet.
